Banayan Festival is a cultural and harvest festival in the municipality of Banaybanay, Davao Oriental, Philippines every October 28.
The fest is a celebration of the town’s primary agricultural product, rice. About 42,000 hectares are planted with the crops. Banayan is considered the rice granary of and the gateway to the province of Davao Oriental.
The municipality is known for a variety of rice called Banaybanay Rice.
The event features cultural presentations of indigenous people. Other activities include a beauty pageant (Search for Hiyas ng Banayan), street dancing, etc.
